The gorgeous and colourful range of Believe You Can fairtrade gifts is very special.

I was super excited to try the organic wool baby blanket made by Cosytots Organics called “La Voyageuse”, The Traveller’s Blanket. It was a piece from heaven during our stay at the premature baby unit.
This is how Kathy, founder of Cosytots Organics, came up with this clever idea of a uniquely designed blanket meant to be carried everywhere easily for active mothers on the go.
“Years ago, when my daughters were still little we use to travel to France a couple of times a year and it used to be a nightmare as the car boot would be packed with well anything you need for a toddler and a less than a year old baby. I just had enough of carrying a large blanket as it would take much space and we didn’t really need that kind of size for a baby anyway. One day I begged my mum to make two blankets I could fold and take with me wherever I went and she came up with this 50cm x 50cm blanket, which was just a blessing. I was able to go shopping, get in the bus, etc… and I knew that if the weather was changing suddenly as it happens quite a lot in the UK wherever you lived, my baby could still be warm at all time.”
When Kathy started her business specialised in soft toys handmade from organic wool, she didn’t forget “La Voyageuse”.
“So when I started Cosytots Organics I though it would be great to team up the idea of the Baby Blanket now called “La Voyageuse” (i.e.: The traveller) and organic wool. Too often babies suffer from skin allergies such as eczema mostly due to wool or fabric being over dyed with chemicals and being bleached with god knows what!”
“The Traveller” organic baby blanket is just ideal and folds it in 4 so you slip it in your bag and done. You can take a car trip, travel by train or plane: your little one will be warm and cosy at all times and you won’t fell like you are carrying your whole house on your back.
Wool often has a bad reputation being itchy, hard to wash and too hot. Quality wool, especially organic, doesn’t itch and it won’t give your child skin allergies compare to mixed wool and over dyed ones. Most washing machines have a wool option now so you don’t have to wash everything by hand if you cannot find the time. Wool is totally breathable and won’t make your child sweat like synthetic fibers (made by chemical processes) as it adjusts to the body temperature. Organic wool has a delicious smell which is very reassuring for a small baby.
La Voyageuse baby blanket is made to order by a working from home mother. Please allow three weeks for delivery.
Please send an email to info@bebecannelle.com to order your baby blanket. UK addresses only. Your blanket takes 12 hours of work to be made and costs £129.99.

Meeting happy breastfeeding mothers is a source of inspiration for new mothers, so getting in touch with your local breastfeeding support group during pregnancy can be very helpful. If you have difficulties once the baby is here, at least you’ll already know people who can offer advice.
Natural doesn’t mean easy so breastfeeding support is needed by modern mothers. Unfortunately, many mothers stop breastfeeding because of a lack of support and information. Sometimes health professional do not have enough knowledge about breastfeeding because they haven’t been trained enough on the subject.
You may appreciate being part of breastfeeding support group because nursing a baby is a learning curve. Knowing where to look for help is important to overcome any difficulties that may arise. Lastly, you may want to meet other breastfeeding mothers with toddlers as it is still uncommon in our society to nurse a baby past infancy.
I am trying to share as many information as I can in this blog. Start with La Leche League.
Congratulations for breastfeeding your baby, you are doing an amazing job and your baby is very lucky!

Breastfeeding your little one when you have company is easy with stylish nursing tops. I have selected two brands, Expressiva and Imahot, because their nursing tops simply do not look like nursing tops as they have no obvious nursing flaps. To breastfeed in regular clothes, you need to unbutton, untuck, or lift up your top to access your breast. Because it often exposes more skin than you would like, it can make you feel self-counscious and uncomfortable. It also makes breastfeeding in a baby carrier more difficult. Of course we wish all mothers could breastfeed without being troubled by showing skin. But our personal experince told us that breastfeeding in public, in a packed tube, a Eurostar train, in front of the in-laws or in a doctor’s surgery was way more easier and natural with a nursing top: the secret openings mean nobody knows you are breastfeeding your baby. Bebe Cannelle also believes that mothers should not have to sacrifice their style when shopping for nursing tops. Nothing is more mood lifting that feeling good about oneself when caring for a small baby!
After practicing breastfeeding in your nursing top in front of a mirror, go and meet your friends! You can breastfeed your baby on demand anywhere.
Your non-nursing friends will be jealous
My favourite nursing tops stores are Expressiva (from the USA) and Imahot (from Israel).
